1. Is there an opportunity to carry out work experience at Rohwedder?
We are happy to offer school pupils and students the opportunity to carry out work experience. Simply send us your application documents, your chosen field of employment and the period when you wish to carry out the work experience.
2. Is there a time frame in which work experience should be carried out?
The time frame depends on the work experience in question. Work experience for school pupils usually starts with one week. Work experience for students may last up to six months in order for students to gain a sufficient insight into the working world of Rohwedder.
3. When should I apply for work experience?
You should preferably submit your application to us three to four months before you wish to start your work experience.
4. What occupations requiring formal training does Rohwedder offer?
We offer both trade and commercial occupations requiring formal training. Under the heading "Training", you can find further information on the individual occupations requiring formal training and their requirements, their training content and their training duration.
5. As a pupil at a non-selective state secondary school, do I have any chance at all of obtaining a training place?
It goes without saying that pupils at non-selective state schools have a chance of obtaining a training place. For example, as an industrial mechanic if you are skilled at working with your hands, are interested in technology and are motivated.
6. What DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) courses does Rohwedder offer?
We offer both technical and commercial courses. Under the heading "Studies", you can find further information on the individual courses and the requirements for them, their training content and their training duration.
7. When should I apply for a training place or DHBW university place?
We would be happy to receive your application documents for your chosen occupation requiring formal training or your chosen DHBW course of study one year before training begins.
8. Is it possible to work on a thesis at Rohwedder?
We are more than happy to offer motivated and dedicated students the opportunity to complete their studies with a practice-oriented thesis. Any interesting topics which we may have for you to select from, can be found under the heading "Studies".
However, you are also welcome to submit a speculative application at any time. We will then review your application documents and confer with the relevant specialist department about a possible topic and support.
9. Is it possible to apply for more than one position at the same time?
It is possible to apply for more than one position at the same time, but you should clearly indicate this in your application.
10. Can I submit a speculative application?
We are always happy to hear from motivated applicants. You are more than welcome to send us your documents, stating the reference "Speculative application". Please address your application to Ms Katrin Schnabel.
11. What type of application is preferred?
You are more than welcome to send us your application documents by e-mail. This speeds up the application process. In this case, please note that the file size of your application must not exceed 5 MB. We are also happy to receive paper applications for training positions.
12. What documents should my application contain?
A personal covering letter explaining why you would like to begin your career at our company, a CV in tabular form, your references and any certificates you may have.
13. Should I inquire in person as to whether you have received my application?
You will receive confirmation of receipt as soon as your application is received by the HR department or the Training department. This means that you do not have to inquire in person. However, we would be happy to answer any questions you may have by phone. Please get in touch with the contact person named for this.
14. When will I receive a response to my application?
Your application documents will be examined by the HR department or the Training department as quickly as possible. If we still have questions after this process, we will contact you. We will then confer with the relevant specialist department. Please understand that it will take some time to review your application documents.
15. What is the selection process like?
The selection process is designed individually depending on the position to be filled. We usually hold several interviews with different contact persons from the relevant specialist area and the HR department. This allows us to really get to know you and to provide you with a great deal of information about our company and the role.
For training places and DHBW university places, we usually hold an interview and ask you to complete a written and practical aptitude test.
In the case of work experience or a thesis, a face-to-face meeting usually takes place.
16. How long is my data saved for?
